Guide to Grade Designations

The filter grade names and designations used by Tremont in this website and technical sales literature are not indicative of the quality of product by itself, in comparison to competing products or in relation to others in the same material family.  These letters and numbers are chosen to simplify ordering and generally have been chosen to clarify a more complex system describing characteristics such as retention rates, flow rates and/or a combination of several material attributes.  Please refer to the information listed along with the specific line of media to better understand the designation system representing the material of interest.

Some material names and designations are trademarks owned by Tremont, or other entities and used under license.  In instances where a trademark is owned by another entity and licensed to Tremont, the owner of the mark is clearly listed in accordance with a license agreement.  Further use of a trademark for resale and private labeling purposes by Tremont resellers may or may not be permissible and is generally strictly enforced the owner of the mark.  Also, simply purchasing a trademarked product from Tremont does not inherently grant the further use of the trademark and will necessitate a specific licensing agreement to be put into effect.
