May, 2009 I.W. Tremont introduces a line of analytical & diagnostic PTFE membranes
I.W. Tremont Co. has announced the introduction of its unique line of PTFE membrane material. Being 100% virgin PTFE composition, the membrane material is ideally suited for filtration applications requiring high levels of purity, broad chemical compatability and heat tolerance. Retentions ranging from 0.2 to 75micron are achieved with an unusually high loading capacity for a membrane. Uniform and closely controlled pore structure is maintained via a novel proprietary process. This unsupported material also uniquely demonstrates a self gasketing attribute which makes the material suitable for insertion into filter funnels as a membrane flat, or the OEM insertion into a greater fixture or housing such as a syringe filter or capsule.
